 | Arguelles/Miccio/Aguilar Family Christmas Parties
Every year since the 1950s the California Arguelles/Miccio/Aguilar Family (descendants of Angel and Concepción) gets together around Christmas time to exchange gifts and sing songs. One tradition is to sing the 12 Days of Christmas, with different groups singing each day. The smallest of children are dressed as elves and help distribute the presents. A piñata is always present. Grandma Concepción handed out envelopes with money in it to each of the children and grandchildren. For many years, one of Grandma Concepción's handmade quilts was given away in a drawing. Some time ago the "dice game" was introduced, and it has become a family favorite. Click here to see it in action. |
